Purpose

We live in a world of knowledge. People know a lot of stuff and they know it right now. If not now, then certainly 30 seconds from now, or max as long as it takes to type it into the Google machine. BAM! Knowledge! Right Now!

Rest assured, knowledge is NOT what the Great American Bus Tour is about.

The Great American Bus Tour is about not knowing. Not knowing what's going to happen. Not knowing if we'll have a place to park our bus in New Orleans. Or Nashville. Or Washington DC. Not knowing if we'll even make it to these cities or if we'll end up somewhere else all together. Will we pick up hitchhikers? Maybe, maybe not. Will we be hitchhikers? Who knows. Who cares. We don't even know if our bus will turn on!

Bottom line: There is joy in not knowing. It is the route of all adventure. Knowing merely that one does not know, and that maybe, just maybe, one is equipped to deal with this. The bus tour is an adventure. De facto adventure. There is nothing more to it.

Well said Nate, this is almost poetic. On that note, I think we need to add a little JIBA-JIBA-MOHO to the bus - the white is, well, plain.

If you do not paint this i will be so disapointed! What you should do is buy thre buckets of really cheap outdoor paint and then go into the woods real quick and throw it on the van let it dry in about an hour, then just drive!

Don't let the paint dry fully before driving it! The wind will make the paint colors mix and it will be prettier!
